Quick summary
Calcs.finance is built so calculator estimates can be used without creating an account. Some features still need storage, diagnostics, consent, security logs, advertising, or analytics to operate the free product.
- Calculator inputs and results can contain personal financial information if you type it in, so avoid entering bank logins, full account numbers, card numbers, tax IDs, national insurance numbers, social security numbers, passwords, or documents.
- Saved scenarios may be stored locally on your device or, where account features are available, linked to your account.
- If you use the calculator issue-report button, the report includes the calculator values automatically so the problem can be investigated.
- Calculator inputs, outputs, saved scenarios, notes, balances, income, favourites, usage details, account state, authentication identifiers, and local scenario data are not used for ad targeting, remarketing, lookalike audiences, or custom ad segments.
- Google Analytics pageview payloads are limited to route path metadata. Query strings, calculator field values, outputs, scenario names, notes, and account identifiers are not intentionally sent in analytics or advertising payloads.
- Contact and privacy requestsUse the contact page for privacy rights requests, deletion requests, correction requests, and calculator issue reports.
- Cookie PolicyRead how cookies, local storage, consent messages, advertising tags, analytics, and saved scenario storage work.
- Estimate disclaimerCalculator content is educational and does not replace professional financial, tax, legal, lending, investment, or regulated advice.

Calculator inputs, saved scenarios, and issue reports
Calculator inputs are user-provided estimate data. They can become personal information if they describe you, your household, your finances, or your plans.
- Using a calculator
- A calculator can run in the browser without an account. Do not enter sensitive account data such as passwords, full bank account numbers, card numbers, tax IDs, national insurance numbers, social security numbers, or bank login details.
- Saving a scenario
- Saved scenarios can include names, notes, inputs, outputs, assumptions, calculator type, jurisdiction, formula version, dataset versions, timestamps, and restore history. Local-only scenarios remain on your device until you delete them or clear browser storage.
- Reporting a calculator issue
- The report dialog tells you that calculator values are included automatically. Reports include the visible calculator values, drafts, outputs, formula version, dataset versions, current URL, browser user agent, viewport size, timestamp, and your short summary.
- Sensitive information boundary
- Do not send full account records, bank statements, identity documents, passwords, card numbers, tax IDs, national insurance numbers, social security numbers, or bank login details through calculators, notes, reports, or email.
- Saved scenariosOpen the scenario workspace and manage saved calculator work.
- Before trusting a resultReview assumptions, formula limits, stale values, and situations where professional advice may be needed.
- Report an issueUse the contact page if you need to report a calculator issue without sending unnecessary sensitive information.
Why information is used and legal bases
Where UK or EU data protection law applies, the legal basis depends on the feature and context. This policy uses layered descriptions so the purpose, category, retention, and provider information can be read together.

- Support, feedback, and corrections
- Respond to contact messages, calculator reports, correction requests, privacy rights requests, and deletion requests. The legal basis may be contract, legitimate interests, consent where appropriate, or legal obligation.
