Choose the right contact path
The fastest route depends on the request. Calculator problems need reproducible inputs. Privacy and legal requests need enough information to identify the request, but should not include sensitive account details unless specifically requested through a safer process.
- Calculator or formula issue
- Use the in-product Report issue button when possible, or email the calculator URL, the values entered, the result shown, the result expected, and why the current explanation seems wrong.
- Content correction
- Email the page URL, the sentence or section that looks wrong, the reason it may be inaccurate or stale, and any official source that should be checked.
- Privacy, deletion, cookie, or legal request
- Email the request type and enough account or contact information to identify the request. Calcs.finance may need to verify your identity before acting on account-linked personal information.
- Business or media enquiry
- Email the organisation name, request purpose, relevant page or feature, and the best reply address.
- Email Calcs.financeUse david+calcsfinance@techconsultant.dev for support, privacy, legal, correction, and business requests.
- Result checking guideUse this checklist before reporting a calculator result as incorrect.
Calculator bug reports
Calculator reports are most useful when they include the exact calculator, values, result, formula version if visible, currency, jurisdiction, and why the result appears wrong. The in-product Report issue tool can include calculator values automatically for debugging, so do not use it with sensitive account data.
- Use a general example if your real numbers are sensitive.
- Say whether the problem is a formula result, unclear assumption, broken input, missing source, or confusing wording.
- For rule-based calculators, include the official source or rule you think should be checked.
- MethodologySee how formulas, assumptions, validation, and source requirements are handled.
- Why results are estimatesReview why calculator outputs can be useful without being final quotes or determinations.
- Estimate disclaimerUnderstand why calculator results are not approvals, guarantees, account statements, or professional advice.
Corrections and content feedback
Calcs.finance prioritises corrections that affect formula accuracy, source requirements, privacy wording, advice-risk boundaries, or pages that could mislead readers about an estimate. Content feedback should point to the specific page and the issue to check.
- Use the page URL and quote or summarise the sentence that needs review.
- Explain whether the issue is accuracy, source quality, unclear caveats, stale wording, broken links, or accessibility.
- For tax, lending, retirement, regulatory, or jurisdiction-specific claims, include the official source that should be reviewed.
- Editorial policySee how content is researched, reviewed, corrected, and kept separate from advertising.

Before you send private details
General contact messages are not a secure place for highly sensitive financial account data. Keep the report focused on the issue and remove details that are not needed to reproduce it.
- Do not send passwords, full bank account numbers, card numbers, bank login details, tax IDs, national insurance numbers, social security numbers, or authentication codes.
- Avoid sending full screenshots that reveal balances, account numbers, addresses, or other unnecessary personal information.
- Use rounded or example numbers when the exact values are not needed for the issue.
Advertising, analytics, and scenario data
Contact messages, issue reports, and saved scenarios are handled under the privacy and cookie policies. Calculator inputs, outputs, saved scenarios, notes, debts, income, balances, favourites, calculator usage details, account state, authentication identifiers, and local scenario data are not used for ad targeting, remarketing, lookalike audiences, or custom ad segments.
